NatCum Art

How it came about?

As a child, born in Wurzburg, Germany in the early 60’s, I would collect the cartoon section from the Sunday’s paper to draw the different characters. Those characters became the face of school projects as I mastered duplicating those characters.  Over the years, I would enter drawing contest in school. One of those really sticks out. In 9th grade Brotherhood Contest, I won first place.

As a self-taught artist, I began experimenting with colors, various brushes, canvases, and different mediums.  I attended webinars and studied proper placements of human body parts i.e., eyes, nose, mouth. My love for people and colors normally completes my work.  I’m often inspired by facial expressions. I observe how a person’s facial expression speaks for them without them ever speaking a word. So, I let the ART speak. Let each piece speak to you, as it has spoken to me. I now find art both invigorating and peaceful.
